The Foundation’s Selection Committee met for its last 2018 session and announced its support for 20 projects, for a total donation of €369,652. It has chosen to support 11 projects in France and 9 abroad (including 5 in Africa), all in countries within the Societe Generale group’s footprint.
Seven new partnerships: pursuing our commitment to innovative integration projects
The GREF (Group of Borderless Educators) works in Senegal to integrate young people and women and develop communities via income-generating activities. In France, Twen-T has an entrepreneurship programme that also provides access to microcredit for highly marginalised people. Contact Club leads actions bringing young people and police officers closer in Marseille, in particular through sports activities.
Women’s financial empowerment is also a key challenge. The support system encouraging female entrepreneurship led by Empow’her in Côte d’Ivoire and the training and certification programme for 150 women in the north of Burkina Faso led by Planète Enfants et Développement will be supported for the first time.
This list is rounded off with two professional integration projects: the Agir pour apprendre programme for high-school dropouts and the project to identify dropouts via social networks by the digital consultation platform make.org.
